Come in out of the cold and enjoy live music, a warm drink and community. January’s Art Night will feature live music by Grace Stormont, the Arkansas Country Music Awards’ Americana Artist of the Year (2022) and the recipient of the ACMA’s 2022 Album of the Year (“On Your Own”). Stormont is a multi-instrumentalist with folk roots. She is known for her ability to intrigue and entertain audiences with her hauntingly melodic voice and her excellence on many stringed instruments including fiddle, bass, banjo and guitar.
While you’re here, you may want to try Smoking Bishop, a historic hot (and spiked!) punch recipe that’s perfect for both celebrating a new year and keeping you cozy during the cold winter months. The drink was mentioned at the end of Charles Dickens’ 1843 A Christmas Carol as the newly-reformed Scrooge exclaims to Bob Cratchit, “A merrier Christmas, Bob, my good fellow, than I have given you for many a year! I'll raise your salary, and endeavor to assist your struggling family, and we will discuss your affairs this very afternoon over a bowl of Smoking Bishop, Bob!”
