The Delta Cultural Center is excited to announce the Grand Opening of our latest exhibition titled," Transforming with Life and Times: Mercantile Stores in the Antebellum and New South Delta." This exhibition will be on display from February 19, 2022 through March 31, 2023 at the main gallery of the DCC Visitor's Center located at 141 Cherry Street Helena, Arkansas 72342.  The Grand Opening is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2022. This original exhibition of the Delta Cultural Center is sponsored in part by E. Ritter & Co. of Marked Tree and expounds the evolutionary nature of mercantile general stores and their far-reaching importance as fundamental economic engines to communities throughout the Arkansas Delta. The Grand Opening will begin with remarks from Drew Ulrich, Curator at the DCC, and be followed by representatives from area governments and an official from E. Ritter & Co. Refreshments will be served.
