The 2021 season of History is Served celebrates four iconic foods of Arkansas: strawberries, tomatoes, corn, and apples. Each dinner highlights one of these Arkansas ingredients as our featured chef creates a unique menu inspired by it.
Our fourth and final dinner of 2021 focuses on apples. Chef Jonathan Arrington of The Root Cafe will present a menu showcasing the versatility and flavor of this adaptable fall fruit.
Guests will pick up their dinners curbside and are invited to join us on Zoom for a special program exploring the rise and fall of Arkansas’s apple industry, as well as the revival of apple orchards and preservation of heirloom Arkansas black apples.
