Historic Preservation Program
Arkansas Historic
Preservation Program works with certain communities to help increase
local attention to historic burial grounds through the coordination
of the Tales From The Crypt program that encourages high school students
to research the lives of and portray citizens who were buried within
the local cemetery.
Historic Arkansas Museum
Living history is a method of character reenactment used to teach history in
a more personal and meaningful way. Historic Arkansas's award-winning living
history program is grant funded and is the only program of its kind in
Arkansas. The museum provides hourly tours of its historic grounds, which
include a living history performance at no additional charge between 10 a.m.
