Arkansas News Reports: Arkansas Food Hall of Fame Officially Launched

Department of Arkansas Heritage - Friday, September 09, 2016

The only way to properly launch a food hall of fame initiative in Arkansas is to have the state's Governor don an apron and wield a kitchen knife while cooking pies; and that's exactly what happened.

On September 9, 2016, Arkansas News was in the kitchen of the Governor's Mansion reporting as Governor Asa Hutchinson and Department of Arkansas Heritage Stacy Hurst kicked off the first ever Arkansas Food Hall of Fame program.

The Arkansas Food Hall of Fame is a statewide effort to recognize Arkansas's culinary heritage. The initiative will culminate in winners being picked from nominations from all across Arkansas.
