Heritage Month Events

Each year, we encourage all Arkansans to celebrate, discover and enjoy our state’s heritage during May.

Since 1982, Arkansans have celebrated Heritage Month with festivals, space studies, concerts, nature walks, tours and much more! Arkansans host scores of events in communities across the state, all proudly proclaiming the message that Arkansas Heritage is worth knowing and celebrating.

Arkansas is home to a wide array of talented artists, as well as a citizenry that appreciates art. From local arts and crafts fairs to community theater productions to the nationally recognized Crystal Bridges Museum in Northwest Arkansas, there’s something for everyone in our state.

*Programs awarded Heritage Month Grants, which are funded by the 1/8¢ conservation tax, Amendment 75
