Funding

Arkansas House

A number of grants and other funding opportunities are available through our agencies. The Arkansas Arts Council administers both federal and state funds to provide financial aid and state arts grants for programs and services benefiting organizations, Arkansas schools, and Arkansas artists. The Arkansas Historic Preservation Program offers grants for rehabilitation of historic courthouses and other structures, and assists in other grant programs. There are grants for small museums and heritage month events. Take a moment and explore the funding opportunities offered by our agencies and partners.

Department of Arkansas Heritage Grant Programs

The Department of Arkansas Heritage, through some of its agencies, makes Arkansas grants available for historic preservation and the arts, as well as Heritage Month events. Also available are tax incentives for eligible expenses for the rehabilitation of historic properties, as well as a fund program designed to benefit small museums.

Small Museum Grants

Our partners at the Arkansas Humanities Council administer funds that come to the Department of Arkansas Heritage through the one-eighth cent conservation tax. These funds are targeted to help small museums located in communities around the state. Local museums and historical societies often have important collections and stories to tell. They usually have a dedicated crew of volunteers and supporters, but often find themselves with very little money to work towards their various missions. These funds are intended for those groups.
